Dear Mr. Tomhave,
I want my academic experience to be a
diverse and positive one. I believe that
attending UMD will present me with the opportunities to excel artistically,
academically and socially. I look
forward to making new friends and meeting interesting people to learn with and
from.
I like the idea of a state university
that offers well-established graphic design and art education programs. I hope to take a variety of art classes that
will help me improve and expand upon my artistic abilities. I also look forward to taking a variety of other
liberal arts classes to build a strong foundation for my higher education.
Duluth’s location on beautiful Lake
Superior is appealing to me. I love the
outdoors, skiing, and hiking. If
accepted to UMD, I would enjoy spending my spare time exploring my new
surroundings. `.
I hope to graduate in four years with the
educational background and experience to be successful in my chosen career
field.
